02Who we are
Two trades that rarely meet.
Furniture production and software are both precision work. We sit at the intersection, and that is where Orion was born.
Anyone who makes furniture calculates. A carcase depth, a back panel, a price group, a margin. Every decision carries a number that later adds up or doesn't. In practice that arithmetic lives in spreadsheets, paper notes and the owner's head. It works, until it doesn't.
Existing packages don't solve it. They are built for a factory making the same thing a thousand times, not for a workshop making something different every week. The trade vocabulary is missing, the flexibility is missing, and configuring them costs more time than they save.
Axelis & Partners brings together deep practical experience from the kitchen, interior and manufacturing industry. Within the organisation, we combine sector knowledge, process optimisation and software development to build Orion step by step as a business platform for daily use in custom manufacturing. Not a stand-alone prototype, but a platform developed, documented and supported as an organisation.
